Cost Saving

Through my career I have saved money for organizations and improved processes.  Most people assume that the way things are done is the way they have to be.  When I was assigned to wind tunnel testing I found that the data read out equipment was keeping any useful testing from taking place.  Further, wind tunnel models were shoddy, late, and costly.  I solved both of those problems in a few months.  The man in charge of those areas asked what right a young Captain had to tell him how to do the job he had been doing for 30 years.  Another long time engineer answered, "It's been 30 years of recycled ignorance."  As chief of software at Modern Technologies, I bid $70,000 on a software project against a competitor bid of $800,000.  We delivered the requirement plus an additional system and they became standard systems for Aeronautical Systems Center and other Air Force acquisition centers.  These are just two examples among many.  More...

I have been associated with The Ben Graham Corporation since 1989.  They serve as consultants to business and government organizations seeking improvement in their processes.  Typically, Ben Graham reduces processes by 85% in time and cost and greatly improves product quality and customer satisfaction.  Inefficient processes abound in virtually all organizations.  The state government of Ohio is not likely an exception.

The keys to producing effective systems are integrity, and organized thought.  You must go into the project with an open mind and without any hidden agendas.  You can't allow yourself to be diverted by your own selfish interests or those of your friends.
